This is a below average place to live. Here are the experiences you will expect if you decide to live here. Children playing doorbell pranks at various times (occasionally, not often). During the heavy rain seasons, the parking lot will flood and damage parked cars (very often). I witnessed a residence’s BMW stall when trying to plow through the flooded parking lot trying to exit, the car was totaled in later reports. Constant power outages. During the 2011 year, there were a total of 6 extended (over a day) power outage in the complex, only two were weather related, the other four were the cause of a blown transformer, poor maintenance, and over poor upkeep. For a quarter of the summer, there was no power for most residence here. A small annoyance that I have here is there is no recycling. I’m an average environmentalist and I do what I can for the environment and not being able to recycle makes me feel guilty.
The management is incredibly unfriendly with a condescending attitude towards the residence. The new residence isn’t treated any friendlier either. If a rule is broken, rather than warn the occupants they would rather send a fine immediately and fines are not negotiable. The rest of the staff such as security and lifeguards are friendly and more down to earth people, treating each with respect.
Location can be a mixed bag of pros and cons. There are several stores within walking distance as well as Golf Mill Mall but the noise from trucks can be annoying at times. There is a gate that allows any residence with a key to get behind Jewel Osco and Portilos which makes it convenient, at night though it can be kind of scary.
Overall this condo is below average, I wouldn’t recommend living here, there are other nicer places and for cheaper too.
